Hello, and thanks for visiting.

My name is Scott Sonek and I’ve been a freelance illustrator for more than a decade (and have enjoyed every bumpy minute of it). I received my Illustration training at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco, California. A few of my clients have been Alameda Public Library, Kaiser Permanente, Jim Cook Designs, C. Rider Dance Company, Torch Newspaper, Planning for Health Magazine, Cereal Magazine, and a host of small businesses too numerous to list.

Please contact me if you’re interested in reproducing any of the artwork presented here. Most pieces are available on a second rights basis, and a few are available on a first rights basis. ‘Butterflies, beetlebugs, and dragonfly fliers’ in the Children’s gallery is a piece from an unpublished children’s picture book. Manuscript and dummy are available upon request. Those pieces in the ‘Series’ gallery are samples from four short series (a "thank you" to Wendy Doggett for allowing me to reprint her poem ‘The Wall’ as it originally appeared in Cereal Magazine) and more work from each is available for review upon request.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I look forward to the opportunity of meeting any of your illustration needs.

Sincerely,
